• “I wish we had gotten care sooner”

Sometimes people put off getting help because they are afraid of what hospice means.

We hope the answers to these questions help you reach out to get some help. Have more questions? Give us a call. Really, we’re very friendly.

  • Can I still see my doctor?

You can, if the doctor agrees. We always reach out to primary care doctors and ask if they want to stay involved.
  • Do I have to be a DNR (or DNI, MOST or POLST)?

    No you don’t.

That is a very personal decision, and one that shouldn’t be forced or rushed

  • What if I want to go to the hospital?

Our goal is to make sure you have access to care so you don’t need to go to the hospital. (Very few people want to go the hospital)

Our patients have access to a nurse to come care for them at home 24 hours a day.  We are just a phone call away. If you decide you still need to go to the hospital, we support your decision.

  • Will you take away my meds?

We provide your meds and actually deliver them to your home.

You and the doctor will make decisions about any medication changes.

  • What if I’m supposed to get Physical Therapy?

We make sure needed physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy is provided in your home.
  • I don’t want people always bothering me.

Medicare requires a nurse to visit every 14 days. That’s all you HAVE to agree to.

    Everything else is negotiable.

  • What about infections?

    We treat infections.
  • What about IV support?

    We will provide IV.
  • What about wound care?

    We provide wound care.
